in the Schools: A Practical Approach to Setting Up Mediation Programs in the Schools.
This manual give a complete overview to set up conflict manager programs and peer mediator
programs in the school setting. Step by step procedures and comprehensive lesson
plans are included. As well the manual gives detailed information on:
- presentations to the classes when introducing the program.
- a guide to selecting students for training.
- ideas for scheduling the mediators for duty.

The third manual is titled Dealing with Street
Gangs: Changing Public Outrage into Action is currently in development.
This manual is based on the authors extensive work with schools on the issue of gang
involvement and it's effects on the school and neighbourhood environment. Some
topics that will be included are:
- the Canadian Police Services definition of a gang and the criteria for involvement.
- reasons why our youth join street gangs
- identifying suspected gang members through clothing and paraphernalia
- analyzing gang graffiti
- security planning for schools.
- interventions for schools, parents, and communities.
